What to Expect During a Visit to Our Office

We hope to establish and develop a personal relationship with you. We feel it is absolutely necessary to understand your wants and expectations from us as providers of your dental care. Our philosophy is not to simply treat teeth, but to help you, our friend, to maintain your smile for a lifetime.

Your First Visit
On your first visit to our office Dr. Anderson will talk with you about your mouth and dental history. We will obtain any necessary radiographs or technical data. Then Dr. Anderson will thoroughly and comprehensively examine your mouth and teeth. We will discuss any findings and then develop a plan with you to treat any area of concern. This initial examination usually takes one hour.

We also offer our new patients the opportunity to spend another hour with our hygienist. She will evaluate your periodontal (gum) condition, perform a thorough cleaning and polishing, and review home care procedures with you.

We want your first visit, and every visit after, to be a positive one. We believe the "WOW!" experience you receive will reflect our commitment to excellence.

Your Child's First Visit
We want your children to be comfortable in our office. It may seem hard to believe but most kids today want to come to the dentist because it is not the terrible experience most adults remember from childhood.

Many parents bring their children in just to see the facility and meet us. This happy visit allows the opportunity to see the equipment and situation they will encounter. Watching Mom or Dad have his or her teeth cleaned is a great motivator.

It is recommended that the first visit should be around age three, or when all twenty of the baby teeth have erupted. We will gladly advise you as to when is best for your child.
